Raider Raza Buzz: Raiders 21 Lions 3

"Lights Out" Randy Moss is the team leader. He has stepped up and taken this team under his wing. On the 3rd play of the game on an slightly underthrown ball Moss beat his guy and after getting grabbed low he stretched out and got the TD; He leads by example.

Despite not starting, Clark still leads us out the tunnel.

Our offense scored TD's on 3 of the first 4 possesions in the first half before taking a knee to end the half.

Curry received a strong and loud ovation for his catch, while Porter's catch had mixed feelings with some people clapping and then booing when they called out Porters name.

Home Grown Morrison is turning into a big time player at MLB. He is probably the only Raider who grew up in the Black Hole. He reminds me a pit bull cause he looks undersized but he plays big and with a feisty meanstreak.

Penalties are down; 5 penalties for 50 yards; no false starts in 2 games

Brooks hit 7 receivers and had lots of time in the pocket.

Kudos to Curry for coming back and making a grab, Washington for blanketing receivers, Hulsey for stepping in for Grove at Center and not missing a beat, and Fargas for running with aggression!!!!

The line looked good for a second game in a row, despite Gallery giving up another sac putting his total at 3 sacs given up and 2 false starts in limited action.

#91 Brayton might be the surprise player of the year

Why did ART take the ball at our 14 instead of forcing a rekick????

Cooper looks Romonowski-like with consistent violent hits on opponents in limited action. I worry that he is going to hurt somebody.

Terdell Sands is big yet nimble at 6'7 335 lbs. I worry he is going to hurt somebody too.

Angry Back Lamont Jordan who took up boxing and yoga in the offseason, said we must be "humble in victory"and that he is "going to run with a lot more anger this year."

Art said he expects to be "8-0 at home.."

Shell involved in Hit n Run

Hey Raider Nation lets help one of pur own.

Shell's Cadillac Escalade was broadsided by a woman driving a white Jeep Cherokee at the corner of 73rd Avenue and Hillside Streets in Oakland. Shell was stopped in traffic when the Cherokee ran a stop sign and rammed into his car before speeding away.
The good news: she rammed into the passenger side, thus Shell was unhurt. Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $1,000 in reward money for information leading to the apprehension of the Jeep driver Call Crime Stoppers with information at (510) 238-6946).

Raiders v Niners Report

It was a great day in Oakland. The Raiders dominated for an entire game. It was fun beating up on an inferior opponent the whole game. Then again it's the Niners and I heard last week, De La Salle (high) gave them a run for their money in a scrimmage until they pulled their starting quarteback.

During pregame warm ups Moss does extra things like catch more balls and run. Moss is very animated and shakes hands and talks with everybody on the offense and defense.

Lechler looks like a LB and when he kicks the ball it makes an impressive deep whoosh sound. A thinner SeaBass was connecting for 50+ yards in practice. Our kickers can kick your kickers ass.

Turner and Stubblefield parked in the cheerleaders parking lot and were met with a bunch of "you suck Turner!!!" as they walked to the parking lot.

Porter Watch: Someone in the black hole yelled "Porter are you staying or leaving?? and he turned around and shook his head and did a defiantly little backward strut;Moments later he stood a good 20 yards away, while the rest of the team huddled together for a pregame huddle.

During the game the DEFENSE is noticably fast and swarming. Raider football is going be exciting with this young opportunistic defense.

Huff looks and plays like a young Woodson. He gets in on many plays and it was good to see him make a big play and almost run into the endzone. Too bad he got stopped by the QB.

Even though Brooks looked better and finally sustained a drive, scrambled for a big gain and scored, he underthrew Moss and overthrew several other receivers and should have been picked off. When the line protects Brooks, we need Brooks to hit his targets.

Walter put up better numbers going 8-10 for 99 yards and scoring on 2 drives. Walter has an extremely nice touch.

Grant Irons is a beast. In limited action every game he manages to violently hit someone.

Gallery and the line played much better and held up well against some blitzes.

When the Raiders went for it on 4 and 1 in the 3rd quarter the stadium lit up with a good energy.

It was a dominating win against the worst team in the NFL so I won't get too excited, but it was great to see noticable improvement all around and hear the slow RAIDERS chant.

HOF Game Ponderisms

Raiders 16 Eagles 7
Check out the game here

The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
The Good..
-Congrats to Madden...Once a Raider always Raider..It was great to see him put Collinsworth in his place asking him "what has Rivers done in the NFL??" after Collinsworthless proclaimed SD the team to beat.
-It was great to see a Raider Victory..
-Brayton was revved up and making plays at his natural position. I like how he doesn't stop pursuing till the whistle blows.
-Washington had a nice pick that he almost ran back. FAST VERY FAST
-The D created 5 turnovers!!!!They were going for strips on every play.
-Raiders commited 4 penalties for 25 yards.
-Special Teams played well particularly the coverage units
-Sea Bass nailed 3 of 3 including two 50+ FG's
-Irons was looking like a force getting in on every play and knocking a guy down with one Iron
-Moss didn't get a pass his way but had a great block...It's nice to see him block cause the mediots like to say he doesn't play every down
-Brooks TD was a well placed ball high and were only his Anderson would get it.
-Walter connected with Fargas on a improvised shovel pass for a big gain.
-No major injuries

The Bad..
-Mcnabb and their first unit marched down the field with ease on the first possesion for a TD
-The Offensive and Defensive lines were outmuscled and dominated especially the O
-Running game was anemic
-Quarterbacking was poor

The Ugly..
-Gallery got manhandled, gave up a sac and commited a false start at LT in limited action
-Unnecessary roughing the passer penalty on a third down incomplete pass gave them a first down
-Even though it's good decision, it sucks that the Porter situation has escalated to were the coach felt it would be better to leave without him. JP is turning into TO without the talent or numbers to back him up
