RIP HARDCORE DAN

Today is a sad day I just found out that Dan Sachar aka among the Raider Nation as HARDCORE, (seen here on left)was killed this morning in a car crash. He died at the young age of 31 years old.
Hardcore was a devoted, passionate, enthusiastic, loyal Raider fan who epitamized the spirit of the Raiders Nation at the games and online. I had the privilege to meet him at many Raider games and exchange and hear his thoughts and ideas online. Hardcore kept up on all the current Raider news and had the honor of being recognized and inducted in 2004 to the Pro Football Ultimate Fan Association Hall of Fame. Dan was always available for pictures on gameday.

Losing a member of the Raider Nation is like losing a family member. It's times like this that make you reflect and feel grateful for the friends and great times that you have, cause tomorrow is not guaranteed. Our prayers on behalf of the Raider Nation go out to his family, his fiancee Veronica and his friends on this tragic loss.

RIP Hardcore you will be missed

The service for Dan will be held this Saturday April 1st at 4:00pm at

After the service, they will be having a Tailgate to honor Dan's life...

Raiders Players Report Card 05

QB Collins F- you suck Collins!!!!!
QBTui inc one game not enough to evaluate Tui
QB Walter inc looks promising in limited play
RB L Jordan C decent runner but with piss poor blocking and catching skills
FB Crockett C+ might be declining but hasn't been used optimally as a short yardage back the last couple years
WR Moss A leader with freak skills leads by example
WR Porter B- drops too many balls; great number 2 receiver; should blossom with double coverage on Moss
TE C Anderson C+ decent blocker and catcher (remember he was a steal for us in the 7th)
LT Gallery D+ been a huge dissapointment; hopefully this year he beats out Sims for LT; still has good work ethic and size and coaching can be partially blamed for his development
LG Sims C+ Solid player
C Grove D seems undersized and overwhelmed at times; probably would benefit from better schemes and coaching, and studying tape.
RG Slaughter C- seems out of shape and slow
RT Walker C+ gets a plus for outstanding ST blocking ability

DE Burgess A makes big plays at opportune times
DT Sapp C+ saved some face after a miserable year at DE; we still overpaid
DT/DE Kelly C+ looks promising can play DE & DT; give more playing time
OLB Brayton D+ why is he running around in space; i blame coaching for this one; get him in a 3pt stance NOW!!!
ILB Clark B- Solid Blue collar player never does anything spectacular but plays hard, smart, never misses tackles.
OLB Morrison C+ Hometown kid living his dream; Undersized but plays big; in the mold of Clark.
DB Asomougha C Shows some tackling ability and solid coverage skills but not elite.
DB Washington inc but we know he has speed
FS Schweigert C probably wouldn't start on most teams
SS Cooper C Good hitter; would benefit from good coaching and studying film

Janikowski F worst kicker last year
Lechler A+ defines his position and can improvise (see the niner game)

We are in desperate need of an OLB, two S, two G, and QB.

Al Davis Time

It's an exciting time for Raider fans now. Now is the time when Al Davis starts making his moves. Al already has made a big move in keeping the NFL together. He got rid of the thrash and is ready to reload.
The media likes to underestimate Al, even though last year most of the media didn't think the Raiders would retain the services of Woodson and Porter yet Al stunned the NFL by not only keeping Woodson and Porter but signing Moss, Jordan and Burgess. Al always finds a way to outmaneuver the salary cap.

You Suck Collins!!!!

The Oakland Raiders finally officially cut punk ass Ferry Collins in an expected strategic, PR and salary cap move.

I don't recall another Raider so heavily despised by the fans so pop the champagne bottles today is a great day in Raider history.
